Movie in the Park

We’re excited to return this summer with our annual free Movie in the Park! This is an event we love to host as a way to say “Thank you” to this community we appreciate so much. Make sure to bring a blanket, chairs, and a picnic — or stop into one of the many nearby restaurants in town for a bite to eat or a drink to enjoy during the movie (Coghlin Park is part of the social district).

Experience the friendships, romances and adventures of a group of high school kids in the 1950s. Welcome to the singing and dancing world of “Grease,” the most successful movie musical of all time. A wholesome exchange student (Olivia Newton-John) and a leather-clad Danny (John Travolta) have a summer romance, but will it cross clique lines?

“Grease is a pleasing, energetic musical with infectiously catchy songs and an ode to young love that never gets old!” —Rotten Tomato

Get out your poodle skirts and leather pants! Come dressed in Grease themed attire and take advantage of our photo backdrop complete with 50s props. We’ll have a professional photographer on hand or take your own. This is totally optional, but we hope you’ll have fun with it! Professional photos will be posted on our Facebook page.

The movie begins at dusk on Friday, August 12 at Coghlin Park. As always, there is free parking in downtown Saugatuck. See you there!
